What an immersion container changes
An ANTSPACE MD5 is an immersion-cooling infrastructure system, commonly specified at about 1 MW. Instead of relying on miner fans to move air through racks, compatible hardware is installed in a managed dielectric-fluid and heat-exchange system. The benefit is controlled thermals and high density. The trade-off is a more specialised maintenance, fluid and commissioning requirement.
Do not confuse hydro and immersion
Hydro miners circulate water or coolant through their own cold plates. Immersion systems place compatible equipment in dielectric fluid. They are not interchangeable descriptions, and neither are their approved hardware lists. Request a written compatibility confirmation for every miner model and revision before purchase.
Site questions that matter
Where to buy
Treat an MD5 as an engineered project. A proper quote defines the container system, supported miner fleet, electrical interface, delivery and commissioning. Avoid using a published resale price as a complete project budget; it rarely includes every site-side requirement.
Bottom line
Immersion can be excellent for operators who have the technical support and site discipline to run it. It is not automatically the better choice for every mine. Match the cooling method to your hardware, climate and operations team.
Sources and buying route
